TITLE:

THE PROMOTION OF THE REGIONAL CONVERGENCE – THE MODERNIZATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC POTENTIAL IN THE FIELD OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT

SUMMARY  

The Project: “The promotion of the regional convergence – the modernization of the scientific potential in the field of rural development” proposes itself the improvement of the degree of integration/involvement of the CDI units in Romania with preoccupations in the field of rural development in the European research programmes regarding this theme. In view of reaching this goal there will be enterprises a series of concrete action which should have in view the growth of scientific visibility at the level of the European academic community of the Romanian CDI institutions (RDE) by the presentation of their research programmes/abilities and potential, as well as their capacity to participate in partnership to the European research programmes scientific for the rural development. Moreover, the project has in view the transfer of knowledge resulted from the European scientific community, specialized in the problems of the rural development towards the scientific community in Romania  and the latter’s getting familiar with the institutional structure in which the European research programmes are being developed. The knowledge transfer will have as a goal the elaboration, in cooperation with the European partners, of some common projects to the future Framework Programme 7 of the EU, proposal which should respond to the requirements of the scientific research involvement to the elaboration of solutions having in view the economic growth, jobs and competitiveness of the rural environment in an approach which should answer to the principles of regional convergence.
